Color Editor:
Currently it is not possible to add a shortcut to the menu item "Create layer from selection".
It would be nice if that would happen.

  That said, I've seen and heard of a lot of requests that were made through official channels, a number of which were agreed to be good ideas—not implemented. Phase One seems to have their own ideas on where they want the program to go and improving the UI doesn't seem high on the list. I was surprised when v12 (or was it 11) reworked the UI a bit.

  You don't do it by email. Go to and scroll down to the Contact Support section of the page. You can make a feature request as if you had a query about the software, but make sure you say in the subject line that it is a feature request.
