iMatch and Capture One not talking to each other?

I use iMatch to catalogue all of my images.

I notice that if I make a change, such as, to the metadata in iMatch it isn't being read by Capture One.

Is this normal or have I missed a setting somewhere?

any advice would be gratefully received.

  I assume that iMatch uses .xmp files? If so you need to look in Preferences in Capture One, in the metadata section of the Image tab. There are options there to govern whether Capture One will sync with .xmp files: None, Load or Full Sync. Also there are checkboxes to govern what to do about differences - prefer the .xmp information or the existing Capture One information. Beware of Full sync - many people report that it slows things down, because Capture One has to constantly monitor for changes in .xmp files. Better to use Load if you want.
