Canon 1DsMIII bad color profile :-(
Anyone with a 1DsMarkIII trying Capture1 Pro 4.5 having trouble with colors?
I can set my proof profile ok but, the program defaults to "Canon 1Ds Mark III/generic" for the images in the "Base characteristics" panel. That is, I guess expected, problem is that that profile gives me wrong colors, very wrong colors. I only get good colors if I switch it to "Canon 1Ds/Daylight" and that is a pain because I have to do it manually since I cannot set that profile as the default one, or I am missing where to do so.
I know the colors are very wrong because I am using photos of my dog to compare (medium yellow/yellow and the 1DsIII profile shows me a deep rust red color instead) and well, I can look and see that only the other profile I mention (1Ds/Daylight) gives me good accurate colors but not the one corresponding to my camera, on most other colors the 1DsMIII/Generic profile is fantastic.
Am I doing something wrong ??

Joao, not sure I understand you correctly, but I think that you ask if it is possible to let the CO 4 program apply the 1Ds/Daylight profile to your 1Ds MkIII files. That is not possible, I am sorry. 0 -
It does allow me to use the 1Ds/Daylight profile, but I have to do it manually for each image. What I would really want would be the ability to edit the 1DsIII profile to correct the color problem or that C1 would fix it. I mean maybe I could just duplicate the 1Ds profile and rename it to 1DsIII , maybe it would work, but as I said, these yellowish colors are the only ones that seem bad, the others are great, so the best solution is to have C1 fix that color profile....I am not spending $400 for something that is not accurate (Adobe lightroom works, but I just like C1 better) do they, CaptureOne, read these forums?? 0 -
Have you opened a support case yet? That will work better than waiting for them to read the "user to user" forums.
I personally have used the support system and have had very fast responses. ( < 12 hours )
I don't think you have to own the software to file a case. ( You will need to register )0
