Losing my ratings

I've discovered that when I'm working in a smart album and I use the reset button with any adjustment operator it resets the capture I'm working on to 0 and then the capture disappears from my smart album. Has anyone else seen this?

  By 'reset button', do you mean the counter-clockwise arrow icon? Or the menu option Adjustments > Reset? More than likely your Smart Album is for a specific range of ratings and resetting the rating to 0, by nature of the Smart Album, drops it from the set.
  
  Are you running 7.2.1?
