TIFF files can be imported and adjusted. However, you may need to check a setting in Preferences. On the Image tab in Preferences, there are check boxes for Enable JPEG editing, Enable TIFF editing, and Enable PNG editing. Are they selected?

No layers, just the simplest of images.

    Thank you.

    I solved it!

I kept staring at CO and at some point I said to myself: it is as if there is a filter that hides TIFF files. After poking aroun din the UI, I just started with CO, I found the "Global filters" option in the View menu. I don't know how but the "Always Hide Processed TIFF files" option was enabled. Once disabled all the TIFF files showed in the browser.

    Cheers.

Have you only tested it with TIFF files created using PS? Have you tried a TIFF file from some other source?

You could try this (8 bit)

and this (16 bit version of the same image)

(Both exported by me from Capture One as TIFFs. They have the .tif file extension. You could also try renaming them to use .tiff and see whether that makes a difference.)

    Hi guys,

Capture one supports tiff files, without layers or with photoshop layers (since version 9.3 if I remenber well 🙄)
With tiff layered photoshop files, capture one pro 9 is lagging , but much better with version 10. (even more with big file like than 1 or 2Go)

Also, If capture one doesn't import some files (capture one bugs), (in catalogue ?) it's because there is one or more file that it doesn't support very well, somewhere in the catalogue (like psd's, or videos files like avi, mov etc..)
Check for thoses files in the catalogue, put them elsewhere apart, after that, repair the catalogue and it should work fine ! 😊

    Hope this will help you
