process raw into jpg and show in browser
Hi folks, newbie question...
it is either very simple, or I haven't understood an important concept of CO. What I want is:
I want to "develop" (i.e. to process) one raw picture into JPG, and have it shown in the browser alongside with the RAW. Makes sense? Is that possible?
Thanks!

In the File tab of the Process Recipe you can elect to output to the Image Folder (root folder - drop down list).
Have you tried that already?
If so did it not do what you hoped for?

Grant’s description works for sessions.
For referenced catalogs you’ll need to sync the folder after exporting, or it must be a ‘hot’ folder.
For managed catalogs the images are inside the catalog and there is no simple folder to export them to.
But why do you want that?
The raws make the folder too big for easy carrying and showing jpegs. And you may not want people to see the raws at all.
The jpegs are unnecessary for developing. You can have lots of variants for an image, tagged and rated as keepers, spending just a few kBytes for all the tags and adjustments.
In both cases, the other format just messes up the folder.
So it doesn’t make sense for me and my workflow. But it may do for you.

Hans0
