It's April, just shot a job, where is the D800 Compatibility?
Received our D800 last week, finished shooting a job on Friday afternoon. Went into post yesterday and after logging in to download the latest c1 update, I realized that C1 doesn't yet support the D800. WOW, can someone tell me why in the world PhaseOne hasn't been all over this? The D800 is one of the hottest camera releases in years.
Anyway, downloaded LR4, did what we had to do and will deliver images on Monday.
With the Media Pro fiasco, and now this, I am seriously thinking about sticking with LR4, so easy to use and my product looked great.

Hate to admit it but I'm starting to like Lightroom much better now that I have gotten more comfortable and understand how they process the RAWs. 😕 0 -

They can't quell the voices of the masses for long. 😊
What really is disconcerting is that it's not like they didn't have sufficient time to prepare for the release of the D4/D800. Adobe seemed to get it right. The images I got coming out of LR4 looked amazing. ACR wasn't bad, but needed some profile adjustments, once done, they looked fine as well.
There comes a point in time where if something works and presents the least amount of resistance you just flow with it. I waited and waited for MediaPro to fix itself, I am waiting for C1 to release the D800 updates and I am tired to waiting. Not because I am impatient, but because I have other things to do. No time to waste waiting for Phase to release its software, and then wait for updates because it wasn't throughly tested, etc.
I will wait a few more days, after that LR4 goes on all of our iMacs and MacPro's.0 -

Oh, they probably can, I'm afraid - probably by locking the thread as, has happened with a few others like this.

Unlike Adobe, we make the Profiles and build support in house, by ourselves, alone, without any assistance from the Manufacture. Again, we have had to wait until we received a production unit just the same as any end user.
If Adobe has a software product you would like to use then by all means use what fits your workflow but you'll excuse me if I lock this thread for advertising the competition and repeating a concern that has been covered thoroughly throughout the forum.
We are of course working on support and as the many other threads requesting support for these cameras can attest, we cannot give an ETA but hope to have support soon.
Thank you for your patience.0 -
