Organising Session Albums into Folders
Clicking the + icon to add a new Album to my Session, I noticed there is an option there for "Folder". However it seems this is always greyed out. I've tried various things but cannot get that option enabled.
Screenshot here:
Does anyone know what this option is for, or how to enable it?
I use a single session for all my images, so being able to organise my Albums into sub groups (in much the same way you can in a catalog) would be amazing.
On a slightly related note.. It is intriguing that phase one has developed functionality for Album organisation in Catalogs (Projects, Albums, Groups, etc), but omitted that functionality from Sessions. I wonder why they chose to do that. Surely it must take more effort to develop two distinct Album browsers for the two modes. For no benefit other than robbing the Session users of some useful functionality.

I don't see the Folder option as shown in your screenshot - I just have Album and Smart Album. But seeing the Little C1 logo at the very top left of your screen shot makes me ask whether you are in fact working on Windows, not Mac (this being the Mac board).
If you want to organise stuff the way you suggest why not just work with a Catalog instead of a Session. It sort of defeats the purpose of sessions to keep all your images in one huge session.

Ah, yes I didn't realise I posted in the wrong forum. Yes I am on Windows.
The reason I dont work in a Catalog is because I need to keep the adjustment data next to the original raw files for backup and portability reasons. I would love to work with a Catalog, if only there was a setting to tell C1 to write to a sidecar folder instead.0 -
I don't use Catalogs myself, so I am not sure about how sidecar files would work in that case.
