LCC, lightroom, ACR and DNG?
I am considering using a P45 for capturing architecture. In my experience using the P45 and H25 with non-retrofocus lenses, there is a fair amount of Lens Cast.
This would rule out being able to use third party software like Lightroom and ACR because these programs do not have LCC tools.
Are there any plans for C1 pro to have DNG output ability from P45 files?
Would this enable the creation of a DNG file with the lens cast already corrected?
Will C1 pro be able to process Tiffs from these DNG files after they are created?
I am considering a switch to a P45 from an Aptus 75 for reasons most people already would guess. But, a real advantage to the Aptus 75 for architecture is that the color casts are removed and a new raw file is created which is portable and can be processed in any third party software without any lens casts. In addition, I can convert to DNG and have very efficient means of cataloging and keywording those images.
I am looking to be able to process my RAW files in 25 years from now. Phase One's LCC solution does not correct the RAW file, it just corrects the output. So in 2031 I would still require software with a LCC utility to process any of my P45 files.
This is of particular importance to architecture or landscape shooting, because a career in shooting architecture is about creating a lasting legacy of photographs.
Any advice about this or insight into Phase One's roadmap would be much appreciated.

The most current information regarding the future lies within
the announcement from Photokina regarding the forthcoming version 4.0

The philosophy of Phase One has always been to leave the RAW file completely intact as the true Digital Negative.
RAWs are treated as Read Only.
This perspective is not likely to change.

So "full dng support" means....
-All Raw files processed in C1 Pro can be output as DNG?
-All DNG files created by C1 Pro can be processed through C1 Pro afterwords?
-All DNG files from cameras supported by C1 Pro can be processed in DNG?
And because a RAW is the "digital negative", for any images containing Lens Cast, the DNG's output from those RAW files will also have Lens Cast. Therefore C1 Pro is a closed solution at this time for someone like me shooting architecture, becuase no other RAW software that supports the Phase files has a lens cast removal feature.
Is this all correct? I am making sure I understand.0
