Order of favorite folders

Drag the favorite folders into order ---> close C1 ---> open C1 ---> order gone! Anyone know if there is a workaround?

  Bob,
  Do all the same folders appear but simply in a mixed up order? Is there any order to the order? (pardon the redundancy)
  Given your past posts with similar issues, perhaps there is a greater issue at play here?

  The folders are all there. I order them according to dates (by the way they used to be ordered like that automatically in 4.8.3, I never had to do anything special. Now they are random. So I order them, but to no avail, next time I open C1, again random order, and not the same random order as before! Where is this information stored?

  Bob,
  That Favorites information is stored in the session file. As we already determined your last post was an issue with a failing session file, stands to reason this may be the same thing. Try creating a new session to a new directory/parent folder.

  OK, I did just that. Created a new session and imported about 15 folders from my user/pictures/capture one library as favorites. All nicely ordered, close C1, reopen, chaos. The permissions on the .col50 file are read&write for me, read only for unknown and read only for everyone.

  Bob,
  Reorder the folders in the same session, quit Capture One and reopen. Chaos ensues? Order restored?

  Chaos is a pain. Create a support case and get us your session file, we'll do what we can.
  In the meantime, given your track record, a permissions repair may be a good weekend activity. 😄

  No real resolution. This is something we will need to address in the software. The order of your Favorites will not stick, Capture One chooses it's own order and will load only that same "nonsensical" order the next time the session is opened.
