Cannot copy/paste IPTC data

New user here coming from Lightroom.

I think I found the way you are supposed to be able to copy & paste metadata from one image to others, but it does not work. ☹️
Can anyone advise if there is a way to do this that will work for one or multiple target images?

Here is what I was doing, FYI:

All images had the wrong IPTC Description added: I corrected one image.

First I copy desired metadata from the one corrected image to the clipboard as follows:

• select the one corrected image in the browser


• under metadata toolbar, I select the diagonal arrow beside the "Metadata" section label: http://emmachisholm.com/stuff/3842/metadata.jpg


• this brings up the "Adjustments Clipboard"


• only one field in the Adjustments Clipboard is checked because it is the only listed field that is populated: (IPTC) "Description"


• I select "Copy" button (this closes the Adjustments Clipboard)

I try to paste the copied data to either one or multiple selected other images by doing the following:

• select the desired other image(s)


• select the diagonal arrow again to bring up "Adjustments Clipboard" again


• again only the desired "Description" field is checked, so I just click "Apply" (which again closes the Adjustments Clipboard)

The selected image(s) is (are) NOT modified - the caption stays unchanged. ☹️

EDIT: I should add I am using version 11.0 on macOS 10.13.1.

  Instead of clicking Copy click Apply. That should do the trick.
