Image going soft when using "edit with"
Hello,
I'm a new convert from Lightroom to Capture One and really enjoying the flexibility of the program. One problem I'm having is when I make all my adjustments on my A7Rii raw file and then choose "edit with" Photoshop CS6 and choose either 16 bit PSD or Tiff the image seems softer inside of Photoshop. If I go back into Capture One without making any changes it is noticeably softer when compared to the original. I also tried regenerate preview without improvement. Is there something I am missing here? This does not seem normal to me.
Update: I have found a setting in the editing options>adjustments tab after clicking "edit with" that is set to "Disable all sharpening" by default. I believe this was removing the default raw sharpening before exporting. Setting it to "No output sharpening" has solved the softness issue.
So my question now is do people usually disable all sharpening when bringing into Photoshop to work on the image and then add the sharpening at the end? Or is it best to leave the default raw sharpening on. I believe that's how Lightroom works.
Many thanks, Marc
