Capture One Pro 8.1
Hello All,
I'm using Capture One Pro 8.1 on a MBP Retina mid 2012 with 16GB RAM and 750GB SSD. I have a catalog of 165k photos and performance are very poor, takes 30-40 second to open and when navigating through the various folders it has 2-3 second lag. This is the same wether I work offline or online (I use an external disc connected through TB). I have also on the same computer LR 5.7 with a catalog pointing to the same photos and this opens in 1-2 seconds and navigation is without lag.
COP8.1 seems to work fine with smaller catalogues. My questions are:
1) is there any way to optimize the catalogues? 165k does not sound to me like a huge number
2) I've run verify catalogue and the result returned is there are no errors, are there other tools I should use to check?
Thank you for your help
Massimo

Hello,
I disabled "Auto Sync Sidecard XMP", and noticed a nice speed improvement.
CaptureOne Catalog management is still not as good as LR but over the version catching up. I Have ca 90k pictures. Navigating into my catalog is most of the time smooth, but lag sometimes.

I have already set Auto sync Sidecar XMP to NONE. Thanks anyway.

Mine takes close to 2 minutes to open a 37K catalog.
Its not you, or your system.
C1 has a some work to do on the cataloging.0
