Copying Color Editor Tool "Isolate" Color
From my first day of using C1 I have struggled w/ the "Color Editor" tool. For instance, I am attempting to work w/ "gray" in the girls dresses and the b/g door is affected which is a "aqua" color. I have attempted to move the three points in the color wheel to as close to the color point as possible, but it does not work very well at all.
If anyone has any suggestions to better isolate color I would be super grateful.

You are not alone in what you describe in isolating or discriminating a particular color for editing in Color Editor, while leaving other colors untouched.
Obviously, similar colors or colors close to each other in the color circle are affected when you edit one. An you already made the right attempt to be more selective.
I did the same but with a slightly different approach. I sampled both the color to change (girls dress) and to leave alone (door). I think you did that too. Next, if narrowed the dress-sample to prevent it overlapping the door-sample. Then I apply may edit. If there is still some effect on the door, you can narrow that sample too, away from the dress-sample and apply the reverse adjustment.
This is my result:

Same image same correction, but with the other color sample in Color Editor selected to show difference in range:

Hope this helps.0 -
Ideal situation to use an Adjustment Brush. Paint loosely over the dresses and then use the Advanced Colour Picker to select the dress colour. The door colour is unaffected by any any adjustments to the dresses.

Hello Paul and Steve:
Thanks for both of your answers- sorry for the delay, I was out of town. Paul, it took me a few times through it to understand what you were saying. I will try that, initially I did not understand about the second color edit, but after re-reading it I totally get it... brilliant approach, thank you.
Steve-
I like that idea a lot too. I have just started using the adjustment brush tool similar to this, but would not have thought about using it like your approach offers, that is a fantastic solution! Thank you.0
