User templates

Hi all,

I have asked tech help about this but no reply so far. I have a user template set up with some basic settings, including session folders and file naming. However, the file naming keeps resorting to the default. My own file name template is there, but I have to manually tell the session to use it. Strangely, sometimes it does remember, but it seems intermittent. I don't think that all the user settings in a template are being reliably implemented and wondered if this is a clich?

Any help would be great.

  The templates, either session or catalog templates, do not store all potential settings that are session/catalog related. Folder, favorites, albums and smart albums, and for catalogs projects and groups, it is all there. But that's all there currently is to it.

  I see. I saw one of David's webinars on this and he implied that a template would allow these things to be used again. It does seem strange that the filename is excluded from the template, as its quite fundamental I think.
