Live View - Hot folder Poll
Right so after sending in a support request to phase one requesting a suggestion for software improvements I was "told" in not so many words, dont count on Live View function being made available for Canon or Nikon camera via capture ones internal tethering due to it being more of a request for canon or nikon not phase one. ( sdk issue )
So with that in mind who here would use the Hotfolder function more if it was made possible that we could have automatic styles and presets applied to monitored folder i.e. your capture folder. You would have to tether via the camera manufacturers software but would have the advantage of LIVE VIEW, more camera control and not having to wait for capture one to update their tether to the latest cameras etc. I was told its not really an important or highly requested function (I personally find it hard to believe really).
Who wants it to happen and would use it? Please comment.

Not of interest to anyone? 0 -
Hi,
In my opinion tethered without live view really degrades this feature. So if there would be the possibility to use hot folder like for "pseudo" tethering as you describe it would be really great. Especially in conjunction with capture pilot.
Just my opinion. Or am I missing some feature/ possibility for Canon/ Nikon users.

I use a program called Dragon frame which is a capture program to do stop frame animation with
it has loads of un needed bits but for macro photography live view is so very useful its worth the slight hassle
the live view works fantastically with a canon 5d mk 2 or a d800E and I am using this instead of capture one for "capture
Dragon frame had this working from day one with a canon 5d mk 2 so I really don't see how this can be a canon SDK thing
as another much smaller software company has had this working for years

This was a lot of interest to many users. As such, the feature was added in Capture One 7 😉0
