I was using my Mitsubishi 9550 Dye-sub and the custom profile I had made for it with appropriate media settings paper size, lookup tables off etc (exactly same as when I had the profile made). Rendering intent is/was perceptual.

I don't mind sharing the info Joao, but struggle to see how your knowing this actually affects the issue given that I then selected the same Mac OS dialogue settings for the printer, with image files produced from C1Pro with the LR3 print module software (and can also use the same in CS4) .

What is the actual issue is it just that the soft proofing was incorrect in C1 or was the print incorrect compared to your expectations? If the print is incorrect, is there a way to manually disable color management for your printer in the Apple print panel?

Also it is not clear that PS or LR will always give you the correct result.
Your mileage may vary depending on the printer. This has been our experience.
With some profiles for instance on Epson, the print would get very blotchy not even matching PS own preview.
