Crop tool is extremely slow and sluggish
I am using a Dell Vostro 420 Windows XP Pro SP3 machine with Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9400 @2.66GHz with 3 Gb of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT graphics card with 1024 MB of memory.
When I used C1 Pro 4.8.3 and I would drag the crop tool to do a 8x10 crop the cropping action had a very slight delay until the crop box appeared and started to move in the 8x10 composition.
I am now using C1 Pro 5 and the crop tool is extremely slow and sluggish almost to the degree that it is almost un-usable.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks very much for your help!

I'm seeing the same thing here. The crop is slow to respond. I'm not at the unusable point though. I have a system very similar to yours but with Windows 7 and 8 gb of ram. 0 -
I created a Phase One support case and they told me this morning that they know about the slow cropping issue and they are working on a fix. They also said that a service release 5.01 is supposed to be released this week and it might be in that release. 0 -
I have noticed that, if I apply vignetting (Capture One - v.5) to an image and the use crop function it is very sluggish.

Ben, Martin, Mantra,
If you could create support cases and send us System Profiles/Information files it would help us a great deal. The issue Bill had is currently believed to be hardware related so if we can verify that against your hardware we can expedite a solution.0 -

The crop tool is much better behaved in 5.01 on my system. I'll still file the support case if you want but it sort of seems moot now.0 -
I'm experiencing the slugggish crop tool too on 5.0.1 under Windows 7 with 12 GB RAM with an NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO graphics card. How do I create a support case and where would I find my System Profiles/Information files to send to help resolve the issue?
It was also mentioned that the problem maybe hardware related. I know there were a few similar issues with Lightroom with NVIDIA cards. Could that be a possible cause of the problem and if so any ideas what areas could be the culprit?

a new version is out
and the crop tool is still sluggish0 -
Mantra,
The version that was just released was a small service update. The issue that has been reported here will need to wait for verification and a larger update. Sorry if there was any confusion.0 -
I have this problem in 5.02. Anyone heard of a fix as it makes the prog unusable? 0 -
David,
A more substantial release is needed to address this issue. As stated above 5.0.2 was a small service update and did not address this issue.0
