Slooooooooow startup - C1 6.3
Hi,
I have just installed C1 6.3 on my freshly built Win7 SP1 computer.
Specs: AMD quad 3.1Ghz, 16Gb memory, 2 x SSDs, Geforce GTX 560
When I start C1 it takes about 30-40 seconds to start it. Is this right? This is a CLEAN win7 and C1 installation. No pictures inside C1. If I fire up my LR 3.5 installation it takes 2 seconds

Feel happy, that C1 generally starts on your system 😂
On my Win7 environment, C1 mostly starts only after rebooting the system. And if C1 likes to start, it takes at least 2 minutes 🤓
Thank God, that Phase One refused to support NEX RAW-files a long time, so I´m not working routinely with C1. And everytime, I get new problems with C1 I decide NOT to change my whole workflow 😕0 -
On a freshly booted system this am, with only a browser and Outlook running, I just started CO 6.3 - it took 20 sec to come up, including a small set of 6 photos I had left yesterday.
I closed CO and started LR. It took 35 sec.
It has always been my experience on my WIn systems that CO and LR start fresh about the same way.
However, if you close LR, and then restart it without a reboot, it will restart in less than 5 sec.
I then just timed a restart of CO - about 15 sec.
Both programs leave "stuff" around after quitting the program.0 -
Ok - then my startup time isn't unusuall. "Good" to know..!
I am a mac user when it comes to photo, but C1 is very unstable when shooting tethred to my mac so I gave the PC a try. The startup isn't so important, but I was not sure if it was something wrong with my installation. The tethering is stable as a rock - so I'm happy with that.0 -
Just timed at 22 seconds for me (Win 7 64 bit).
Make a point of ignoring Big_Lindi, incidentally - he/she can't accept that his/her problem is a local one, not a problem with Cap One.0 -
I swapped my SSDs and now the fastest one is the C-drive. Now everythings running much smoother.
15-20 sec startup of C1. And the app is running very smooth/responsive. *like it* !0 -

why do YOU know my system ? Seems you are a little "know-it-all" ? Your estimation is arrogant !!
I´m running I new Win7 enviroment with a core i5 processor. ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS run quite well. Only CO1 is sleeping (if running anyway). Several deinstallations/new installations did´nt really help.
Maybe there´s a problem in the system. But I expect, that a software is running on all "normal" system environment. So other applications do this. I dont like to change a new, good running system, cause CO1 doesn´t like it.
So please don´t score my problems, cause you don´t know it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
