I expect a link to the update will be available later today? Looks like there are lots of improvements available. 0 -
May I ask what "Vectorscope Orientation Color-Wheels" are? Thx!
EDIT : found the info on DPReview :
"Vectorscope orientation color-wheels for Colorists
o The orientation of the color-wheels can be changed to the industry standard “Vectorscope†layout favored by video grading applications."
I guess I'll see for myself what it changes exactly.0 -
It's a tweak for the Color balance tool.
If you use ANY video editing software they all have vector scope color wheels where red is 12 o'clock (ish) as opposed to the Apple system RGB layout where red is 3 o'clock (ish)
Ultimately it's so colorists can use their ingrained muscle memory "red is up" if using the panels to adjust.0 -

Just download from downloads!

Thx Jim_DK, I had just edited my previous post, but thanks for the clarification. 😊
I'll see what I like best, it's nice to have the option anyway.0 -
Sad and disappointed to see there is no support for Leica M10 yet ☹️ 0 -
It appears on my Mac that the arrow keys can no longer be used to navigate through the Styles and Presets. Was that taken away in the new design?
I've restarted my Mac since updating. I'm on the latest version of Sierra.0 -
Unfortunately 10.1 does not work on any of my computers Mac Sierra or Mac El Capitan, error code calling the application a disk image and terminates the program... anyone else? 0 -

Open the .dmg then drag and drop the application to your /Applications folder. Eject the .dmg then launch Capture One 10.app from your /Applications folder.0 -

Getting the same problem ... application is in the apps folder and the .dmg has been deleted but all I see on trying to run v10.1 is "Capture One cannot run from a disc image ... Capture One 10"
Mac running Sierra0 -
Weird. Works just fine here. 0 -

Yes - I hope this is fixed rapidly0 -
I have the same problem. After installation start fails with error claiming the app is a disk image. I'm using Sierra 10.12.4 0 -
Is it actually installed to applications and not running directly from the DMG?
Gatekeeper won't allow this if it is...0 -
I am attempting to run it from the app folder after copying the app from the dowloaded dmg. In reply to my support inquiry your support folks stated "we are getting a lot of these". The problem is with the upgrade dmg. 0 -
Have you tried to re-download the .dmg? Maybe it got corrupted somehow, I don't know. 0 -
Yes. Dowloaded twice same result and tested dmg with disk utility. It is a flaw in the app file. 0 -
What's weird is that it worked just fine here. Mac Mini 2012 running latest macOS Sierra. 0 -

What would happen if you didn't download an update dmg but the trial version?0 -
Jim,
You might want to change the thread title from "Captrure One 10.1 released!" into something a little less off 🤭0 -

Dear all,
We have a number of users affected by this DMG issue, however not everyone is seeing it (I for one am running 10.12.4 without this issue) and repro-ing it is not yet possible in house. Suffice to say there is something here that needs further investigation.
Support have a temporary solution if you find you can not install 10.1. I ask you just make a case and they will send you the build. That way we can build a picture of what's happening to issue a proper fix.
Thank you for your patience.0 -
I did not read this thread before upgrading to 10.1 but luckily it works fine on my system, it even tell me that it uses hardware acceleration with my integrated graphics card...i don't think that is the case because the image is still blurry when i adjust, but Capture One runs faster than ever, so i can confirm that it works on some systems 😊 0 -
Installed on MacBook Pro (mid'15) Sierra 10.12.4 with no problems.
I run CO in session mode only.
First impressions,
Load time of program about the same as before.
Nikon NEF files render now almost instantaneous. So do Sony ARW images which before had some noticeable lag compared to NEF and jpeg.
I can confirm scrolling Presets and styles not working with arrow keys (they scroll the browser images if browser is on in viewer mode)
So far its looking very good (for me)- happy with the updated version.
Now awaiting the scheduled upcoming webinars about the new features 😄0 -
Apologies for the huge post but I wanted to provide details of my successful upgrades to v10.1 on two different Sierra systems. Again, apologies if this is polluting the thread but I thought maybe this info could be of use to Phase One or someone else with similar systems and OS circumstances.
System A
- Mid-20111 Mac Mini (5,2) running 10.12.4.
- OS had been upgraded in place from 10.10.5
- C1 v8 was installed and remained during the OS upgrade. Seemed to function fine afterwards.
- C1 v8 was removed per Phone One KB 1167 (including ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One folder)
- C1 v10.0.2 was installed and seemed to run OK
- v10.0.2 was upgraded to 10.1
System B
Late 2012 iMac (13,2) running 10.12.4
- Clean OS install after erasing disk
- User account was restored with Apple’s Migration Assistant. Guessing this restored most things that were in ~/Library from previous OS install (10.10.5 which had C1 v8 installed)
- C1 v10.0.2 was installed into the clean Sierra installation
- v10.0.2 was upgraded to 10.1
For both systems both the initial application install of C1 10.0.2 as well as the upgrade to 10.1 were performed from within my everyday non-admin user account. Admin-level authentication of course provided when prompted.
Both C1 v10.1 upgrades were done by dragging 10.1 from the disk image to my Applications folder and selecting the “Replace†option when the OS prompted.
On both systems I made sure to have the disk image for v10.1 closed in finder and ejected before I attempted to run Capture One for the first time after upgrading.0 -

Hi Thanks for the new release!
Thanks for the delete from collection and the token watermarks... Very useful!
But why have you changed the styles section?
It's now ugly, it takes much place and we can't use the arrows to navigate thru our styles.
Please revert to the former UI styles.
Thank you,
P0 -

Are any of those people experiencing this problem running a Finder alternative such as Path Finder? Sierra gets a a bit unhappy if you drag and drop an application from a dmg to the Applications folder in anything other than Finder, it's one of Apple's new security "features".
Basically, if you don't use Finder it ends up launching the application in question as a disk image which usually has some esoteric alpha numeric name.
I have encountered this numerous times with Sierra and Path Finder.0 -

Because people complained that the old UI could result in the cascading display covering the images they were editing. (Especially if the Styles had long names that affected the dynamically selected width of the cascading windows.
It's so very to satisfy all users all of the time.
