My C1 pro license is in DB mode and I cannot use with Canon

Very frustrating, I have bought a new license and C1 is reverting to DB version and I cannot modify Canon files.... anyone able to tell me how to resolve this? I was under the impression in V7 there was no longer a DB / DSLR difference.

Please tell me this is not true..........................

  There is always a DB version with Capture One. This is the free version which does not require activation, for those using Phase One and Leaf backs, namely rental houses which can freely distribute the software when someone rents the equipment.
  
  The DB mode is, however, just that... a running mode of Capture One 7.
  Please simply access the "Capture One > License..." Menu from the main menu bar and choose to Activate the software. You can then relaunch the software and it will be activated with your Pro Key to access the Pro mode of the software.
