Parent Folder Token?
Good morning folks,
I realize this is a user-to-user forum and maybe someone from CaptureOne can chime in, but let's see if we can't figure this out:
Is there any way to have add a second folder level to output? Specifically, I'm looking to get a hierarchy like this:
Session folder/Output/[shot name]/JPG
Whereas [shot name] is the name of the raw image's parent folder.
To be clearer, here's the hierarchy for captures:
Session folder/Capture/[shot name]
The incoming raw naming is [Folder][3 digit counter]
What I'm going to suggest to Phase is a [Parent Folder] token to be used in the File tab of Process Recipe, or maybe under Output naming. At the moment I'm having to manually make shot name folders under the output and drag/drop the files into them. There's a few applescript and terminal solutions out there that recognize the first x number of characters of a filename and move them to a folder of the same name, and I'm trying to figure that out for my specific on-set needs. Maybe one of you have figured that out as well? I'm not terribly well versed in terminal commands. If that has to be the solution, I'm okay with that.
Thanks for any/all input.
