Still No Batch Reload of Metadata?
I was hoping that there would be a batch capability for reload metadata. But I cannot find anything.
It is the last step in the IPTC data handling that I need; that or the ability to force it to ALWAYS use the data in the raw file. I keep my master IPTC data in the raw image file, then it can't get lost during copies or backup. And yes I am aware of the risks of writing into the raw file.
Am I missing something?

Martin, not sure if this is what you are looking for: select multiple images, command Load Metadata from File menu. Metadata is reloaded from all selected image.
In addition, when conflicts occur, you are warned per image, with a Keep/Replace/Stop option each plus an Apply to All checkbox.
Correction, the above is true for CO6/Mac. After posting I decided to check on my Windows machine. Shock: there is still no such feature in CO6/Win! I'll be in touch with Phase One. Promise.0 -
Martin,
In the application preferences dialog, Image tab, Metadata section - you can ask C1 to auto load the metadata from the raw file/side car XMP. If you choose to do that - C1 will automatically reload the metadata according to your preference below this check box (prefer embedded XMP over embedded IPTC, prefer sidecar XMP over embedded metadata).
The auto load feature will react to changes made to the raw file/side car XMP while the application is running, and will check for new data when starting up the application.
I hope it helps,

Thanks Moshe
I will try that; it certainly sounds like it will do the job. I was using the reload metatdata on the tool panel.
I need to find some time to explore the new capabilties.
