Changed formula for TIFF exports in version 9.1?
I've just installed version 9.1 over 9.03, both under Windows 8.1 64-bit. Exported TIFF variants are now no longer readable in my other main editor, Nikon Capture NX2. I used to be a Nikon shooter and I'm accustomed to doing final edits with the latter.
This is happening regardless of input to C1P -- Fuji RAF, Nikon NEF or TIFFs & JPEGs from elsewhere.
Is this an 'undocumented feature' or has some setting changed in the upgrade? I export files as uncompressed 16-bit TIFFs, using Adobe RGB (1988).
I'd be glad of suggestions.

Roger,
Nothing I have read suggest there have been any changes other than the ability of C1 to READ and display Tiff files with an Alpha channel delivered from external applications (see the release announcement.)
As this is primarily a User to User forum and the release is only 24 hours old it would probably be best to create a support case and ask the Team directly if anything else might have changed.
Is it only NX2 that has the problem?

Thanks, Grant. Setting up a support case looks sensible.
The problem also arises in View NX, another Nikon/Nik product. OTOH, Silver Efex Pro (a Nik/Google product) is quite happy. So, too, are IrfanView, Photo Mechanic and Photoshop Elements.

I'm having the same problem, only with exported 8bit tiffs, and cannot open them in my other Nikon programs, i.e. NX2 and View NX-I also in NX-D. ☹️ Hope there is an answer soon. BTW if I export as Jpegs they will open in the programs. 0 -
Further to the above post, the tiffs will open in Photoshop. If re-saved in Photoshop they will then open in the Nikon programs. 0 -
I have just opened a support file and sent them some files to work with, so maybe there will be an answer to this. 🙄 0 -
Well that was a wasted exercise as the answer that came back was that the files were well formed and opened in a variety of software, and I should get onto Nikon to find out why a file processed in C1 0.1.1 is not supported in Nikon's own software. 🤓 🤓
So thats me not using C1 again. ☹️ ☹️
Just as an aside it also happens with nefs from the Nikon D610
But the D610 Files processed in C1 9.0.3 are ok0 -

I've just installed version 9.1.2, which looks to have solved the problem. TIFFs now open in CNX2.
Thank you, Phase One.
