Feature Request - Find Function - Default to Input Box
When using MeM2 currently (PC) if I go to find an image (Control + F) the Find dialogue box opens up. However, it doesn't default to being in the input box. This means that I have to manually click into the input box, or tab through to get there. It would be great if I could hit 'Control +F' and then just start typing what I was after. Most of the time I am not changing any of the other find options.
This would be a simple and welcome change.

Andrew,
I agree with your other post, that rallying the troops on the forum is a great idea for these bug/feature fix'.
However, I would again urge that you create a support case as well so that we can properly Document the function that you want to see changed be seen by the appropriate dev. team.0 -

Thanks for the note. Maybe you can publicly post here the URL/email to create that opportunity for people. Most of these feature requests are not 'support' issues per se, so much as your-product-would-be-even-better-if.. sort of things. And having a dual-pronged approach (forums/support) is certainly the best way to approach this.
For instance, in an earlier thread John pointed out that the 'ALT' key would actually expand/collapse all of the Catalogue Sets - I didn't know this was a built-in behaviour (a search of the index in the built-in help reveals no entries for 'expand' or 'collapse' in the index). And I would only gain that knowledge in a public forum - or more to the point, even if you had shared that with me in an 'official support' email channel others would not have benefited from that knowledge.
That being said, the 'ALT' key as it stands now is something of a blunt option - it doesn't allow me to say 'expand 1-level deep', or two or three. And not only that - it is not an option that is available as a 'right click'; what most people will default to when navigating.
So, in summary: 1 - please post the email that people need to send feature requests to for the official route; and 2 - please continue to support the community forum as this will share knowledge with users, improve the product, and ultimately benefit everyone.
Thanks,

Of course, didn't mean to suggest we wouldn't be doing this when applicable.0
