P45 CO7 histogram difference

Hello Forum

I use P45 and CO7 for some days.
Today I see that there is a difference in histogram on monitor of P45 and histogram in Capture One 7.
There is a offset of approx. 25 % between display and CO7.
The pictures in CO7 are not edited.

There are four scaling segments in histograms representing the brightness 0-255
0-25 / 25-50 / 50-75 / 75-100 %

Picture 1 on monitor
0-50 %
Picture 2 on monitor
0-75 %
Picture 3 on monitor
0-100 %

Picture 1 in CO7
0-75 %
Picture 2 in CO7
0-100 %
Picture 3 in CO7
0->100 %

The values not exact but give an info about begin and end of brightness.
The characteristic of brightness are the same on monitor and CO.

On P45 the II Raw L is adjusted.
On P45 Firmware Main 2.3.6
CO7 is 7.1.4.

What can it be?
What is wrong?
My mistake?

    Hi,
    Sorry, but can you elaborate? Are you taking independent histogram readings off the display and comparing them to CaptureOne's histogram readout? Finally, have you tried upgrading to 7.2?

    I'm not native english speaker and need some time to understand your answer.
    As I write I use CO7 is 7.1.4. and will upgrade to 7.2.

    I have a picture (bad quality) to explain the problem.
    You see the histogram P45 monitor
    You see the picture and histogram in CO7.

    Carry out upgrade from 7.1.4 to 7.2.1.32.
    Same problem ;-(

    There is nothing wrong here. Camera and software histogram seldom match for a number of reasons. In CO7 you can reference the histogram in the Exposure Evaluation tool, Capture tab. This one comes more close to your camera but will still differ.

    Normally the histogram should start on left side near 0 and stop on right side near 255.
    Do You agree?

    If it start on left side near 0 and stop at right side near 125 - or let me say in the middle - I think the exposure time is to short or the aperture is to small.
    The sensor need more light for a good exposure.
    Do You agree?

    This tool will also give you an indication of the amount of over or under exposure from the indicator below the histogram.

    No. It depends on the contrast of the image. Low contrast images have a histogram the covers only a part of the 0-255 range (you can adjust that in Capture One, but that is a different story).

    In general, yes. Unless you have a low key subject, because such a subject has a large amount of low tones and few high tones. In your case, with the landscape one can safely say the image is underexposed but easy to rescue in Capture One.

    Both yes, but the histogram in CO7 is also a 0 to 255 scale.

    Than there is a misunderstanding.

    You agree that P45 show this?
    The histogram ends near 127 in the middle.
    I assume that the scaling is linear.

    When You say the axis is scaled from 0 to 255 than the histogram don't end in the middle near 127.
    Is the scaling not linear from 0 to 255?
    I see that the spacing between aperture -2 to aperture -1 is smaller as between aperture 0 to aperture 1.
