Capture One 5.2 released
I just ran into 5.2 while the update trigger in the installed program is not yet set, so it is early days 😉.
Not used the program yet, so I read from the released notes that LCC support for Leaf/Mamiya DM as well as for a large number of DSLR RAW formats is now available. Nikon users can expect better colors and consistency and Leica X1 support is added. Also a number of not specified bugs are fixed.
Hence, a maintenance release with added functionality, which is reflected in the release number, 5.2 over 5.1.2. Give it a shot!

If you have made workspaces in CO 5.1 (or earlier), CO 5.2 will save the current one and selects the default workspace. A message is displayed to inform you. This relates (according to the message) to improvements that have been to the workspace.
As a result, you might want (need) to recreate your workspaces in 5.2.0 -
I saw that 5.2 was released, however when click "check for updates", 5.2 is not available to me. 0 -

As I explained, the update trigger has not been set. You can download it from the site yourself. It is free for 5.x users.0 -
Thank you. I did not understand that. 0 -
Try again 😉 0 -
It would seem that unless one uses Nikon or the other specified gear, this does not represent much of an upgrade. On the other hand, the recent Apple Snow Leopard graphics upgrade really brought about a speed increase for Capture One.

Live View has been greatly improved for all backs. 0 -
And browsing network servers with many folders works much better. 0 -
"Preferences to disable tethered support based on camera make"
Does anyone know what advantage might be gained from tweaking this preference? It's under Capture in the Preferences menu.
Thanks

Well at present on a T-1 line I am only getting a 13.7kbs download for the upgrade. I finally stopped it and will try again later. I look forward to checking it out, but unwilling to wait 4.5hrs for it to download. 0 -

First day of release often shows bandwidth problem during download as soon as the program update trigger is set. Better try later this week as you said.0 -
My wish would that the new update fixes the issues I have had for a while in Snow Leopard regarding the tethering with the 5D Mark II. I wait with bated breath for someone to tell me this resolved this issue.

Is this a paid upgrade from C1 Pro v. 5.1, which I presently have? I read the info. on the site, and this question is not answered for me (I might not have seen the right section)? cheers, kl 0 -
From the release notes: Capture One 5.2 is a free service release to existing Capture One 5.x owners.
The release notes are always the place to look for that kind of information, Kit.0 -

The answer is it is a free upgrade for C1 5 Pro, LE, and DB users. Go to downloads, sign in, and then select C1 5.2 download. Follow the instructions from there.0
