Defining default settings for adjustment clipboard
Is there a way to define default settings for adjustment clipboard?
I often copy settings between different images, but I don't want to copy the CROP setting. I can go to adjustment clipboard and uncheck the CROP, but it is quite annoying to do it each time after copying new settings to clipboard.
Thanks
Martin

Not really.... You can use local copy on the individual tool tabs to copy just that setting.
I also sometimes want to copy everything except the crop. My workaround is with the crop tool selected, click outside of the crop (this removes the cropping), now copy the adjustments which will not include cropping, then use undo on the current image to get the original crop back. Now you can paste adjustments with the crop not being effected.0 -
Thank you. I usually do that as well. I just thought there would be a way to set up default settings. Maybe in next version 😉 0 -

Actually that feature already exists. Make the adjustments you wish to make as default settings, copy, then go to the adjustments clipboard. At the bottom you have the option to convert to a style..simply do so and name...that set of adjustments can then be applied as a style and it will be saved for future use. You can make several of these if you wish, just give them unique names....0 -

Nice tip John4, but a style records also the amount of the adjustment where I understand the OP want to be able to select the type of adjustments only.
To some extent you can do that too. Key is that on the Adjustments tool tab, you open the tool's context menu (small triangle at the right on the tool's title bar) and deselect Autoselect Adjusted. Now, after having done a copy command, you can select the adjustment types (checkboxes) and this selection should persist (I do this sometimes on CO5/Mac, assume on Win it works the same).0 -
Somewhat related.
If I am copying meta data from one image to another. I click on the copy icon, then checkmark the data I want copied (often about ten items). Then I click the icon again to paste and I have to re-select those same ten items. This is very tedious and sometimes I don't remember which items to checkmark again.
It would be nice if on pasting it would remember which items were checked for the copy action.0 -
Alex,
Can that be solved using a Style?0 -
I am not sure as I don't have styles in standard version.
Anyway when I cut and paste meta data each session I do it in it is most often a different set of fields.0
