Re. 1) Maybe it helps when you uncheck the option "Create thumbnail on save" in CO5's process recipe tool on the Output tool tab. According to your post it is the desktop icon file that is causing the trouble (it has the same name as the image file but with a prefixing dot). LR3 should neglect this however but does not.
The error message does not relate to the image file itself, hence it opens fine in LR3.

    1) Do you get the error if you Process first and then Open in Lightroom, as appose to have the file open directly?

    2) PSD without any backround layers.

-Just to clarify, this is the only setup where the error occurs?

-Sorry I don't follow? If you create a PSD of your signature without any background layer, the resulting file and watermark will be only your signature. The remaining space will be 100% transparent.

    Thanks for your reply.....

    (1) As far as I know yes....if this proves different over the next few days I will revert.

    (2) Will investigate the signature in PSD format again and see if I can make it transparent for use on the C1 images. I will also revert on this soon.

    Many thanks for your assistance.
