I am running a Mac Pro from 2012 and when I do this it does it quite quickly.

When you rearrange keywords it has to change the entire catalog so depending on how many images have that keyword it could take a bit to process the changes. Just my thought. How many images in your catalog?

I'm trying out the Capture One demo. I've imported my Lightroom catalogue, which contains quite a lot of keywords. I've attempted to organise them a little in Capture One, but even simple things take a long time; for instance, when I drag a keyword onto of another keyword in order to make it a child of the latter, it takes about 10 seconds for Capture One to carry out this task. (There's no background activity.) Is this normal?

There are some differences, as I understand from reading various threads in this forum, between the way LR keywords are structured and work and the way C1 does things. Importing "as is" may not always produce an optimal result (depending on the contents and usage as mentioned by Edgephoto).

Sorting that out may create some serious workload in the system for the duration of the exercise. Hopefully anyone who has already been through the process and documented their approach will be willing to offer their thoughts here.
