Viewig of processed Tiffs in capture folder
Hi,
I tried to do a search and was not able to find what I was looking for.
One feature that I really liked about Capture One Pro 3.x was that I was able to add a processed Tiff file to the capture folder and it would show up in the side bar with all the other icons.
I am shooting a catalog job now where we are matching older shots and I have been using Capture One Pro 4 and I added a processed Tiff file to the capture folder and it won't show up in the browser window. This is difficult to compare the old shot to what we are currently shooting. We are trying to have consistent lighting, mood, surfaces, etc. . .
Currently I have been opening the Tiff files in photoshop and switching back and forth to compare the old shot to the new one.
Am I overlooking a new feature that I haven't seen on 4? Can somebody please help me?
I hope that the powers that be at Capture one can add this feature in a future update. It sure was nice to be able to view Jpgs and Tiffs by simply adding them to the capture folder, even if they were not able to be cropped/ edited.

Tried to copy your situation. Set a folder with raws as capture folder. Process a raw into that folder. Both show up. Maybe it is different if you are shooting tethered, which I did not.
Could there be a conflict with file extension, like using TIF for the raw file?
Are you able to view TIFF or JPEG images in CO 4 anyway, from a different folder?
I did found another issue, though. With a raw file (Canon .CR2) and its TIFF output in the same folder, when I deleted either one Permanently (not Trash), both are gone (permanently!). I'll will report this to PhOn.0 -
Thank you for your reply. You helped me to think around what was going on with the files. It turns out that the Tiff files coming from the retoucher were in CMYK format [since they were being sent off to the printer, doh!]. When I opened them in photoshop, converted to RGB and re-saved the file it then showed up. Appears that was all that the problem was.
