    Fabrizio,
I am sorry you're having issues but what you described is not a "but" as it seems unique to your computer. Catalogs and Sessions work just fine in Capture One 7 on MacBook Pro systems with 8GB of RAM and the 10.8.2 OS.
If you would like to contact us with a Support Case we'd be happy to help you and have a closer look to solve your specific conflict.

Hi Fabrizio, your problem is not uniques to your system. I have had the same issue since C1v7 was released. Crashes almost every time I import anything. My system is the new MBP 15" retina with OSX 10.8.2 with 16GB ram. Try turning off OpenCL support in preferences and "Load Only" for XMP metadata - there seems to be major problem with both of these aspects. Of course, turning of OpenCL makes C1 run VERY slowly when generating previews or doing adjustments.

    Regards,

    Mark

Generation of the previews (the one time event on import, or during tethering) is not GPU accelerated.
