One drive

Hi there
i am planing to move my files to the sky 😊
so i was looking and one cloud and i need a 800 GB for the photos

and since the files will still be stored on my mac would i mean it was possible to use one drive
any experience

    I wouldn't recommend it for working directly with CO. Even if you are on a 100/100 mbit, it is so many times slower than an internal SSD, and you will feel that a lot.

    Christan i would agree
    but i have the files on my local drive then that folder is synced to the cloud ït works pretty well
    i just have to leave the Catalog in the none sync folder

    I do it a slightly different way - my catalog is on my local drive, my referenced files are on my QNAP NAS, which is backed to another local NAS and additionally my QNAP does a S3 backup both automatically at night. I am pretty happy with that solution.

    i have them on the local drive then sync to the cloud
    and it just works like a charm
    i also upgrade to El Capitan and to try it i let it down load (took a some time 500GB)

    i use one drives own software
    a few tips do
    when you move the catalog and photos over do not use Capture one pro since it slows it down
    and make sure that the mac dont go to sleep it shuts down the network
    once over it works like a charm
    i upload photos from my camera in to the catalog and before C! is done One drive is getting synced 😊
