strange behaviour 3.7.5
Hi!
I have an odd thing going on in C1 v3.7.5.
under camera settings (camera symbol) in C1 my buffer symbol (dots) which are set to 10 stay orange at all times and do NOT show how many shots are still in the buffer 🙄
Before in 3.7.4 they were green as soon as the camera was connected over fw and the acumulated shots were orange!
What is going wrong?
BTW: shooting tethered works fine, just does not show the remaining shots in buffer...
cheers Nicolas

Seems that things have changed regarding buffer use in 3.7.5.
With my quad the dots and progression bar have both disappeared.
If I try with a MacPro they're back with the same orange dots.
Looks like 3.7.5 doesn't use the computer buffer anymore.
What computer are you using ?
What OS ?0 -
Good! i am not alone 😉
Well, my dots were green before and the more I filled the buffer the more turned orange... now they stay orange.... ❓
I use a PowerBook 12" G4 PPC
Does this have any influence?
PhaseOne???
cheers Nicolas
PS: quite honestly I need that feature just to know how much I still have in the buffer and for much longer i have to wait...0 -
Nicolas,
The Buffer handling has been optimized in 3.7.5 and there is no longer a need for setting this in the program. This is why it is not found.

Sorry, this needs (better, I need) a little more info on that 😉
In 3.7.4: when I shot continously I could see in C1 how my buffer would slowly fill up and therefore I had to wait a little to get all the frames "developed".
Does that mean in 3.7.5 I can just go on and on? I do see speed decrements though the more I shoot...
You lost me here...

Nicolas,
Capture One 3.7.5 has much improved memory handling which does away with the capture buffer entirely and therefore it has been disabled.
Disabled because in reality it did not make a difference before when you could set it so we have simply removed it in the new version.
(although DB version has a cosmetic glitch in the Capture Tool that makes it look like it is still there)
With the most current Firmware and Capture One 3.7.5 Update, Digital Back capturing is optimized.
Sincerely,

You guys lost me.. where are the dots?? I have been shooting tethered for a while an never noticed that.. You are on a MAcintosh? right?
Thanks..
CAn you let me know where or how one see's the "dots".
Thank you,

At the Capture Tool and when using a Phase One Digital Back

Hi Keith,
You are saying that with the most recent FW (2.3.6) update and 3.7.5 capturing is optimized.
Any info about updating the DB on an Intel Mac? Is it working fine?
Thanks0
