Latest version no. CO 11?
Hello,

that (s)he has version 11.3.1.6 installed.
CO on my MacBook reports it is version 11.3, build 11.3.0.26 (a6499b5) and a "Check for updates" says I have the latest version.
Am I running behind?
Have I missed some updates? (The version number 11.3.1.6 suggests there has been 11.3.1.0 until 11.3.1.5).

11.3.1 is the latest version - get it by going to the PhaseOne web site and downloading it. PhaseOne is famous for releasing new versions with no notification and no indication in the "Check for updates" section. The current (as of today) version is 11.3.1. You just have to go looking for it proactively, rather than having the program check for you.

Looking at the release notes one sees that the 11.3.1 release has a very specific and generally limited purpose.
The nature of the release suggests that it is not the sort of release that would be of interest (or need) for the wider user base but might be of some interest to potential new users with certain camera body interest. I would imagine there would be little justification (and possibly a few negative comments on the forum) had a broad email campaign been pushed out.
Just my opinion of course.

True, but...
From the release notes:Capture One 11.3 also contains additional 3rd party camera and lens support, general bug fixes and under the hood tweaks for all Capture One variants. This release is recommended for all users and is a free update to all existing Capture One 11 owners.
General bug fixes are always welcome, and this one appears to be recommended by PhaseOne. One of the bug fixes is relevant to me:
Fixed an issue when using “%†character when creating a folder
Coincidentally, I had just spent a fair amount of time this morning fixing an issue for a friend of mine who had renamed several folders with a "%" character (moon phases). This was done before the 11.3.1 update, but it is an example of how seemingly innocuous and minor updates can be of help to some.

All,
thanks for your replies.
I've downloaded CO 11 from PhaseOne's website and installed it.
I now have 11.3.1.6 installed.
I think it's a bit weird that the "Check update" option doesn't tell me that a new version is available.
In my opinion it should, certainly when PhaseOne recommends the newer version to all users because it contains general big fixes.
Anyway, I won't rely anymore on the "Check update" option and check the website more often.
Thanks for the help.

That's for 11.3 rather than 11.3.1 .
The OP indicated that they already have 11.3 installed which is the context in which I commented.
That said I would agree that the 11.3 release seems to have mostly relied on publicity around the Fuji agreement and some aspects of Photokina in order to publicise the release availability. So far as I can tell I have not seen any email update nor a forum post.
My in application version check does tell me that a new release is available since I am still working with 11.2.
