Hello Phase One, I need your advice please.
I was a windows user of capture one 4.8.1 together with Nikon Camera Control and my D300 camera and everything was perfect. The two software pieces work at the same time and I loved that workflow, controling nikon with Camera Control and imediately see the foto and make adjustments in Capture One.
Now I have a Mac Book Pro running Leopard 10.5.7 and I bought Capture One Pro for Mac thinking that it will be the same pleasure to work plus the benefits of the pro version of Capture One. I was wrong. sadely the two aplications don't like each other. My questions : Any chance to convert my windows license of Capture One 4 into a mac one so I could use this one when shooting and the pro version when developing the raws?
I think Phase One will loose nothing I and would gain very much.
Any other clue to solve my problem will be apreciated.
Thank you very much.
(By the way, I know I can shoot tethered with Capture One Pro but I really need live view suport)

I'm not sure that I understand your problem. The two applications are very similar in design and in terms of intercompatability you can use the same image settings files between Mac and PC. Unfortunately Sessions aren't intercompatible as the only major drawback when moving between platforms.
Could you please detail your problems?0 -
Well, I will try.
Capture One 4 Pro don't work together with Nikon Camera Control Pro.
Capture One 4 does it.
I have Capture One 4 Pro for Mac and Capture One 4 for Windows.
If I could change the Windows license into a Mac license I would capture the photos with Nikon Camera Control and Capture One 4 working together and after that create a session and do all the developing process in Capture One Pro to take advantage of superior color correction of Pro version.
I hope I was clear.0 -
Why don't you use Capture One for the capture? What advantages does the Nikon software give you that Capture One can't do? 0 -

OK, well Capture One Pro and the Nikon software fight over who should have access to the camera, that's why. I think if you make an Untethered Session in Capture One, it might resolve your problem. Otherwise I think you are allowed to run non-pro if you want. Try to go to the Capture One menu -> License... and choose deactivate. See if you can activate the non-pro version. 0 -
I tried the unthetered session but with no sucess, and when i tried to activate as standard version it recognizes the serial as a Pro version and activate it.
Maybe Phase One can change the serial to a regular version without having to bring back my money. I don't need any refund only work hapily. Thanks anyway.0 -
