How Do I Display Keywords below Thumbnails
I am considering the purchase of Capture One. However, the ability to display Keywords under Thumbnails is an absolute requirement for my work.
How do I do this ?
Thanks.

This is not a feature that Capture One supports. All key wording is displayed in a metadata panel on the left side of the window.
Capture One Pro is definitely one of the best raw processing applications available on the market, however I have to concede that metadata management is not it's strongest suit.0 -

I agree with you but then I think it would be nice if Phase One was finally give Media Pro right thrust 😄0 -
Thank you for the reply.
Oftentimes in industry, it is an absolute requirement to display keywords under the thumbnails.
Presently, we are using Aperture which has this capability. We have also tried the photo app "Lyn" that can also display keywords under the thumbnails. However, "Lyn's" editing capabilities are rather basic.
It would appear that once Aperture no longer works, we may have to use 2 photo programs. "Lyn" for organizational purposes, and Capture One for editing purposes. Clearly this would be a cumbersome process that we would like to avoid.
Some in our organization are recommending we abandon Mac, and switch to Windows where better alternatives exist.0 -

I would suggest you create a Support Case and ask for this to be considered as a feature request. Put "Feature Request" in the title.
Meanwhile .....
The PRINT option offers the potential to print the Description under the image. If your Keywords (I assume there are not so many per image or the design of the output could quickly become a challenge) happened to also be in the title you might have an immediate one product solution - at least when printing.

Keywording in general (in v. 8.3) is weak - compared with Aperture.
I'm a newcomer here - so would feel bad about advocating anything too strongly.
But it does seem like a good idea to lobby for an improvement in keywording… it can only benefit the company and the software as more Aperture users consider buying C1.0 -
I appreciate all the answers.
However, "Lyn" has the keyword capabilities I need, and Aperture still works perfectly.
If Capture One could show keywords under thumbnails our organization would make the jump immediately, but all things considered, I think we will hold off for now.
Again, thanks again for assisting me. Hopefully, I can come back when this much-needed capability is available on Capture One.0 -
The other aspect of keywording which Phase One must surely be addressing rsn is the ability to delete them.
I wish them luck in all such changes!0 -

Certainly you are not suggesting that Keywords cannot be edited or deleted ?!0 -

Exactly so, unfortunately.
They can be removed from (application to/association with) images; but not deleted from the (virtual) list of keywords available.
There is a way, but it's not officially supported by Phase One - understandably.
OTOH, surely Phase One seems likely to be working on this…0
