How much video memory does your NVIDIA have? And have you tried putting the two OpenCL settings in Preferences to “never

    Hi Sasha,

I tried the "never" settings and the blinks are gone! But there is still a delay between when the image first appears and when it's sharp. I honestly haven't a clue how much video RAM I have. Is there a way in Windows to check that part?

    Thanks already for your suggestions.

    Hi Vaughn,

OpenCL appears to be a tad iffy right now with CO-7, hence the suggestion. I just checked; most Geforce 450 ship with 1 GiB of video memory (some with 2 GiB), so this shouldn’t be an issue. If CaptureOne acts up with OpenCL enabled, your video drivers might be outdated. You can find the latest NVIDIA drivers for your system here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

The delay is “normal†as CO needs to render the full view when clicking/opening a file where you changed development settings. In Prefernces > Image, what’s your preview size? Is it much larger than what your screen supports, or about the same? I think CO defaults to 2560px, i.e. a 27/30" screen. Pulling this down to your screen’s maximum horizontal resolution might reduce lag but won’t eliminate it.

Information about your video card is found by right-clicking the empty desktop, then “Propertiesâ€, then “Personaliseâ€. But I don’t think memory is an issue in your case, if at all, it’s outdated drivers. You’ll also find your screen’s resolution in this place, though, which might be feasible for setting up CO-7.

    Hope this helps,

    -Sascha

I have a Geforce 9800 GT with 1 GB ram (12 GB system ram) and have the same problem. I had that lag using version 6 but not the blinking. I turned OpenCL off for processing but left it on for viewing. I should try turning it off for viewing as see what happens.

    UPDATE you drivers.

I did this today, and it reduced this by a lot since I updated. I only have a 9800 GT with 512MB memory, works fine for me. Both OpenCL turned on for processing and rendering.

Did you update with beta drivers? I updated the other day with new 10/10 released drivers.

I just updated my Nvidia card with beta drivers and the blinking is still there so I set OpenCL to never for both and the blinking is gone.

Here is a link I received from Phase One support -
    http://www.phaseone.com/en/search/artic ... nguageid=1

My card is on the list and I have the recommended drivers but it still does not work right. I think Phase One is over selling OpenCL. If you go to the bottom of the article there are two Nvidia cards they recommend for "best performance". They probably are the only ones that work right. One costs $500 - $600 (US) and the other $4K (not a typo).

I just installed the EVGA GTX 560 Super-clocked card with 2 GB ram and my processing issue of having a black output TIFF file with OpenCL turned on has been fixed. I have OpenCL turned on for viewing and processing. I think the blinking is gone as well.
