Time zone management & geotagging

I'm taking Capture One for a spin as a potential replacement for Aperture (I'm shooting an Olympus E-M5, which Apple doesn't currently support). Raw conversion, adjustments, and many other things look great. Two questions:

1. How does Capture One handle time zone conversion? I've gotten used to keeping my camera set to UTC and picking the time zone during import. This frees me from having to change the camera clock for daylight savings time and crossing time zones. Is there a simple way to manage this in Capture One?

2. It looks like Capture One can't geotag images from GPS trace files and requires using a third-party utility. Is that correct?

  1. Almost same question was posted some Weeks ago on Aperture Forum (I'm Aperture User too). There is a problem with the camera body. He don't know any information about local time. I mean here don't give any simple way to manage times/ time-zones.
  
  2. yes. Do you need a 3-rd party tools to write GPS information into your Files or sidecar xmp files.

  Hi Andreas, I use HoudahGeo on the Mac to geotag my files, when I look at the info on a file in CO6 it has the location in there.

  Within Capture One you can add the GPS data to the Metadata field and then sync that info to an XMP. If you already have the XMP files with the info, then Capture One will read it and display it in the proper Field.
