Cost of future upgrades to PRO vs SE versions.
Phase One said: By the next paid release SE customers will automatically be upgraded to PRO as promised. The promotion offer for upgrading SE to PRO is prolonged to September 1st, 2005.
I have purchased the SE version because I don't need the PRO version. My question: Will I have to pay more for future upgrades to the PRO version than I would have paid for upgrades to the SE version?
Anything I can do to reduce my future costs of upgrades?
Thanks
Pierre

Thats an excellent question. To add to this question I would like to know what is a major upgrade. If it is version 3.7 and it only corrects bugs of 3.6 I can't see this being a major upgrade but rather a fix for 3.0. I will be mad if the so called major upgrade is nothing more than a fix for 3.6. It will use up my one major upgrade for PRO and then I will have to pay more for future upgrades. I feel like I was sucked into SE. I hope this is not the case but rather the major upgrade will be a total redesign and version 4.0
Thanks,
Larry
I would like to say, you guys are so wishy washy and it tends to leave customers wondering what surprises are stored in your method of pricing and marketing. I'm starting to wonder if you guys know what your doing.
Sorry but that's just how I'm starting to feel.0 -
Hi
3.7 is not a major upgrade, even though the version number change from .6 to .7 indicates that. What you also can read of the exact same press release that are quoted in the 1 post this 3.7 is a free upgrade for existing users and do not count as a paid upgrade.0 -

Does that mean there will be a SE version 3.7 or do we have to wait for 4.0. Thanks.0
