Migrating Original Files to New hard drive
I'm starting to set up new catalogs in MP as a preparation to a new Mac. My files are on an external drive now but the new Mac will have enough space to move them there. It'll be way faster.
What is the best way too reconnect the MP catalog with the files? The files will be in the same folder & file structure. Can I somehow point the MP catalog to the new location and tell it to make the changes.
I seriously don't want to do too much work in the catalog if I can't migrate easily.
Thanks, John

Right-click > Locate... should do the trick. 0 -
Actually I found it. In the Catalog Folders section right click on the folder that has been moved/copied. Select the item "Reset Folder Path..." Point to the new folder.
This worked for me. The "new" folder was identical to the old folder. You will have to update the folder.0
