90 minutes to export 500 images to JPG?!?!
Yikes.. why is the Export so slow? Going from internal HD for export... 4MB JPG's from D500 NEF adjusted images... thoughts?

Difficult to suggest anything useful without some feel for the hardward configuration, whether the system is using a dedicated GPU and, perhaps, what sort of adjustments were being processed.
Are you Exporting using Export or a Process recipe?
Only one process recipe active?
Are the times on the created jpgs showing fairly consistent creation times?
Would you be comfortable looking at a log file?

10.8 seconds per image. Not sure if that is really slow or not. I've never tried to process 500 images at once.

I'm assuming you meant "processed" 500 images, rather than "exported".
As a test, I timed processing 26 recently processed files. They were 36MB raw files, cropped to 16:9, color graded, with several luminous masks applied. The files were exported as full size jpeg, with sharpening for screen.
Using a stop watch, I timed C1 12 from the time I pressed the process button. The time was 47 seconds for the 26 files, or 1.807 seconds per file. Extrapolated, 500 similar images could be exported in ~15 minutes.0 -
Yes.. processed... single process recipe - 85% JPG.. no additional adjustments. Dedicated GPU.. certainly a glitch because I stopped the process, closed down C1.. restarted and turned back on the batch processor.... much faster results. 0
