C1 LE 3.7.1 doesn't start
Hello,
after starting C1 a window screens occurs to select the folder for the previews. I select the standard folder, than C1 crashed with an error:
(translation from german):
'The exception \"unkown software exception\" (0xc000090) has appeared at
the place 0x005aa133 '
Reinstallation doesn't help, deinstallation and cleaning the registry manually also doesn't help, C1 doesn't start.
Has anybody an idea?
(sorry for my english, it's school englisch and many years ago.. 😉 )

You are running C1 with full admin rights, or is it kind of user account?
What kind of system? XP?
Sam (just guessing around)0 -
I think Sam is correct in thinking it seems to be a Permissions/Access issue. If there are more than 1 User on the computer, be sure access rights to location is correct.
The default location for the Preview Cache is:
C:\\Program Files\\Phase One\\ Capture One PRO\\Previews
This is where the .C1w Work/Thumbnail files and the .C1p Preview files are stored.

Thank you Sam and Keith for your help, as a precaution I checked it again.

Yes, with full admin rights.
>What kind of system? XP?
Y2K, SP 4

I didn't install C1 in the standard path, but the access rights to the location is correct, full access for everyone.
Any other idea?0 -
Jui66,
Suggest a standard install onto local drive C:\\ to be sure it will work properly. If it does, then there is an issue with the location you installed it.
Do an Uninstall and clean the Registry.
REGEDIT
HKey_Current_User
Software
Phase One - right click and Delete this folder, and then remove from Recycle Bin
Reinstall to default
