Brought Catalog in from LR, can't edit!
I was excited to see how this program compared to LR6 but right away from import it wasn't letting me edit many of the photos (had the pencil with the strike through it.) Very frustrating to set everything up and then not be able to edit. How can I be able to edit all the photos?

If the pencil strike is through the image it is either of a type which is not editable, or the file permission may be incorrect.
Considering the types of problems that have been seen on this forum, can you provide this information:
1) What kind of file - JPG, TIF, ORF, DNG ....
2) What size is the image (dimensions in pixels)
3) Is the image black and white?
4) What Model of camera was used
5) Where is the image file located? (main drive, USB attached drive, Thunderbolt drive, NAS, ...)0 -
From looking closer at my LR library I noticed that some of the photos needed to be re-linked. Apparently LR allows you to keep editing photos even if they are not linked correctly.
My strangest problem is that at one point I Apparently imported photos from iPhoto and it is giving me the wrong path since that program was replaced with Apple Photos. Looks like I will have to re-import those photos? It's a little hard to remember what I was doing back then. I didn't import directly into LR since it wasn't around at the time.0 -

Also to answer your original questions as well:
1) What kind of file - JPG, TIF, ORF, DNG ....
jpg, tif, DNG, the still photography is mainly RAW.
2) What size is the image (dimensions in pixels)
Usually 10 megapixel, the max that this camera can shoot.
3) Is the image black and white?
Images are mostly color, tried LR's black and white features a little too so also a little Black and white.
4) What Model of camera was used
Pentax K10D, probably some scanner image, various iPhones.
5) Where is the image file located? (main drive, USB attached drive, Thunderbolt drive, NAS, ...)
Photos folder on the main drive.
Thanks for the help Eric!

I pretty much resolved this issue (fixed LR photos, reimported catalog into C1.) I don't know if there is a way to mark threads as resolved there but this one is. 0
