Trying C1 8 - have questions

I have been using Lightroom (LR) as my one-stop image management system for some years, but am currently testing C1 with a view to replacing LR. I am impressed by, and love the raw image processing capabilities of this software, but have problems in other areas. Compared to LR the print module seems rudimentary, but I can live with that. My main problem lies with keywords and searching, specifically with filtering EXIF data. It find it helpful to select, for example, all the images from a specific camera or lens (for closer scrutiny, or to modify file names), but I can find no way to do this in C1.

I am wondering whether others have migrated from LR, have mastered the catalogue system and can offer hints, or point me to relevant documentation.

  Look to using Albums/Smart Albums for filtering EXIF data, have a look at: http://help.phaseone.com/en/CO8/Organizing-Photos.aspx
  
  As you said it is different and just needs to be learned but be warned it isn't the same as Lightroom.
