    I've posted an example :

This is a conversion on Windows :

This is what I get on Mac :

Obviously I have a color management problem, but where?

Seems a bit of a monologue here but according to Magne this is an error with C1 Mac V3.7.6 and V3.7.7 and the EOS-1DMKII, but not with other cameras.
It also gives wrong (oversaturated) colors using the C1 internal profile.
The PC version handles the EOS-1DMKII correctly.
It was one of the items they were to fix in V3.7.7, but they did not.

I am surpised nobody seems to know this.

Now I'm stuck with Capture One on my new Macs 😭

    HI-
    To clarify:
The Canon EOS-1DMKII N generic profile is the problem,
currently on our known issue list and currently being worked on and tested.

I cannot answer what is going on with the etcetera profile... it could be an assortment of color management and calibration issues. And you may want to make an inquiry to etecetera.
However the one benefit on using the mac version of Capture One software is to be able to tweak profiles by using the color editor.

Since you have a " go by" with the PC image you can edit yourself a new profile and start a process to color manage again.

    Kind regards-

    Thanks for the feedback

As for your remark concerning Etcetera :

    This is his reply :

They said that this was one of the items they were to fix in V3.7.7, but
    they did not.
Phase One now tells me that they "soon" will fix this in another update.

Unfortunately that's all the info I have...

The momemnt they do fix this I will also update the profile for free to all
users with some minor revisions, but until they do fix it, I'm kind of
    stuck...!

    Best regards,

    Magne"

    HI-
correction: the known issue as it states - Capture One 3.7.7 includes an incorrect ICC profile, "Canon EOS-1DMkII N generic". This profile has an error that created incorrect colors. I edited the previous post to include this.
Use color editor to tweak your saturation issues.

Sorry, I don't agree with that solution. Have you seen the example? This is not solved with a "tweak". There is something fundamentally wrong with the Mac version since the Win version works perfect.

What camera are you referring to?

    You state the
    EOS-1DMKII

The 1D Mk II profiles of Generic and Sunset work perfectly on Mac and Windows versions. The processed image is dead-on match to my Focus Utility.

If you do have the EOS 1D Mk II N model, then review Knowledge Base article for solution:

I have the 1D MkII (not the N version). Maybe the generic works fine but it's the Etcetera profile that acts weird in the Mac version, while it works fine in the Win version. Accrding to Magne it's not the profile but an error inside the software. As ICC profiles are platform independant by nature I am inclined to believe him.

Would downgrading to a previous version of C1 solve my problem?

    Hans,

Although some try to make Color Management more sophisticated and complicated than it needs to be, simply put,
the overall Goal is to get consistently accurate color with processed images from Capture One.
All the tools and capbilities are most certainly within the program to accomplish this task.

With Capture One PRO - at least 1 camera profile is provided while some models have a few to choose from.
When one does not like the color from these, they have the Color Editor which can be used quite effectively to make further adjustments and save a New camera profile to select from.
The only other option is to purchase 3rd party Profiles, of which the ETCETERA come highly recommended.

💡 See this Knowledge Base article where you can download Additional Phase One Created ICM Profiles.
You'll find 4 additional Profiles built for Skintone for the Canon EOS 1D MkII
    http://www.phaseone.com/HOME/Content/Su ... 20-%20Main

**When it is simple Saturation to be added or subtracted from images, the ability to establish this at the Exposure Tool and to Save these Saturation setting withina file to be reused is also a possibility.

I don't know what th problem is with this ETCETERA profile on Mac.
Mr. Nilsen would be the best source for this answer.
Profiles can be uploaded and analyzed and details reviewed at this site:
    http://iccview.de/

You may test an older version of Capture One located at the Download > Archive area of web:

Which is exactely what Hans did, and he just broght the same answer to you. P1 w/KBB has been informed of the problem, and acknowledges it. The problem is not inside the ETC profile as you seem to indicate, but inside the software. A Phase One invented tag is NOT being read/parsed correctly. Ask KBB if you need more information!
