CF card import with CO LE
I installed Capture One LE on a \"fresh\" Mac. When I insert a memory card in a card reader, Capture One LE doesn't display the import dialog as it does with the Pro version. I've already disabled the system-wide feature in Apple's Image Capture application. The memory card mounts on the desktop with no problem. Browsing though the preferences panel doesn't show the \"Capture Naming\" panel as it does in the Pro version. My understanding is that this feature is not present in the LE version althouth it is listed in the comparison chart (see CF card importer).
Am I missing the obvious? If this feature is missing, then will it return in the next update?
Thank you for your help

Knowledge Base article #1704 should assist you with this issue.

Seems the Media Reader needs to be \"shown the way\" on a Mac 😉

Keith,
Thanks for pointing me to this KB article. I was really not sure if the issue came from the limited features in the LE version. I'll try your suggestion next week as I don't have access to the \"problematic\" computer at this moment. But I'm quite confident that it will work. It was a \"pristine\" installation of CO on this Mac and it fits the description of the KB article so well...
I use Capture One Pro along with Canon cameras on my computer and never had any trouble with the import feature.
Cheers 😄

I have read the article. In my C1 LE trial version there is no naming-opportunities in the preferences. (OS 10.3.😎.

I have the Mac paid version of C1 LE (V3.6.1 build 1204), I have also read the related article link from this post and have not found this option.
I too, can not import images from my CF Card directly into C1 LE v3.6.1.
I have to mount the CF card, hand drag & drop all images to a newly named folder on desktop or use Apple's Image Capture to load images to desktop. Then and only then can I drag and drop this RAW image folder into the \"Organize\" window of C1 LE.
Would someone be so kind to address this problem specifically as it relates to the LE version.
Q: Does C1 LE import images directly from the CF card or does it not?
Frustrated with C1 LE.0 -
OK, today I had the opportunity to get access the computer equipped with Capture One LE 3.6.1.
I tried every suggessions of tech note 1704 but had no success.
Prior of testing I made sure permissions were repaired.
My conclusion is simple: Capture One LE 3.6.1 does NOT offer capturing from a memory card.
I hope this will be corrected in the next version, although a simpler fix would be to eliminate this feature from the comparison chart ;-|

faeyer,
Your conclusion is correct, the Capture One Media Reader does not exist on a Mac LE version. And yes, it is checked in the side-by-side comparison PDF file on the web site.
I will post when decision is made to either add the feature or remove the check stating it is part of Mac LE.
Thanks for your persistence.
Apologies 🤭

Thanks Keith,
At least we now have the official word... I'm using Capture One Pro but my customer purchased the LE version and couldn't make the import stuff work.
Anyway, he'll be using a custom made application to download and rename files.
Have a great day,
Faeyer0
