Defective P25 Portrait Neutral profile?
On a number of shots taken in my studio a strange yellowish tint/discolouration appears in shadowy areas.
It almost looks like the colour you get gives you a black eye which on the third day turns from black to yellow.
Switching the camera profil to Adobe RGB (1998) the images are perfect with no discolouration whatsoever.
This leads me to believe that the P25 Portrait Neutral profile might be defective.
Have anyone else noticed this?
and
Are there any problems that I don't see about using the Adobe profile instead?
Also can anyone explain why one should not use Film Extra Shadow instead of Film Standard?
Film Extra Shadow appears to give finer gradation of shadows (as it is probably supposed to do) whereas film standard in some images appear to produce some smearing (don't know if this is the proper term) in deep shadows.
Can anyone enligthen me?
Thanks in advance
Regards Michael

Question
Are you using 3.6?
Did you uninstall previous version before upgrading?
you are using Portrait Natural -> Adobe 1998?
Or are you basing this on just embedding camera profile?0 -
Answer:
1) yes, I am using 3.6 Pro.
2) No, I didn't - but I have done so now (the results are unchanged)
3) Yes, I am using P25 Portrait Neutral > Adobe 1998
Further specs.

Calibrated Lacie monitor
I know that seeing is believing. Do you have an FTP server to which I can upload the converted files.
I did another session yesterday and the same results appear. Using P25 Portrait Neutral > Adobe 1998 produces distinct yellowish tint in shadowy areas whereas Adobe 1998 > Adobe 1998 produces excellent results.
If this was a constant factor, I would simply use Adobe 1998 > Adobe. However, going through other sessions the yellowish tint is not that apparent (NB shot with 3.5.2).
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Ulf
I have tried to upload following your instructions, but apparently no files are uploaded.
I am using Windows Commander to connect to your FTP server - it says \"Cannot create remote directory\"
Using Internet Explorer it says \" An error occured copying files to the FTP sever. Make sure you have permission to put files on the server. Clicking OK nothing happens - no progress bar

A wee bit too fast there Ulf 😜
Wrong directory - now I am uploading.
