Where does the workspace get saved to? I want to tranfer my saved workspace to another machine and to be backed up.

Problem here. With CO5/Win the workspace is stored in the preference file, along with other settings unique to a particular system.

Are you saying there is no way of transferring the workspaces to a new Windows machine? Also, a recent upgrade to CO6.2 has deleted all my workspaces... I tried CO support and they say the workspaces are in "C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName> \Local Settings \Application Data \CaptureOne", but there is nothing there about workspaces - plenty on saved styles etc, but no workspace...

Yes, with CO5 and 6 the user-made workspaces are stored in the preference file, not in a separate folder as Phase One support said. They are confused with CO5 and 6 on Mac. As a result you can't transfer your workspaces from one Windows system to another. If you like, you can report this back in your support case to the support department and refer to this post. Let's say we all benefit <g>.

Second, I have read more reports of workspaces lost after update or upgrade to CO Pro/DB 6.2. I just looked into this and it seems that in contrast to previous updates the preferences of the updated (=older) version are not copied into the next one. Not sure and I have to run more tests. If this appears to be the case I will contact Phase One.

By the way, if you like to post CO6 issues or discuss CO6, you are more than welcome in the CO6 forum (you're in the CO5 forum now).

OK, I think I sorted my problem out. I have posted a new topic on how I dealt with this at
