I suggest you visit the Phase One website, which is loaded with product info like you are looking for.
    http://www.phaseone.com/
Look into the online store and the download pages (release notes).

    In short:
There is a 64-bit version; you can upgrade to CO6 from 3.x or 4.x; you need CO6 for the newer IQ series backs but older backs are still supported in CO6; the course you plan will include a full license; license for Phase One backs is free anyway (a.k.a. DB mode, no DSLR support in that mode).

    Hello there:

I had a similar situation of upgrade of PC XP to a new W7 64 bit Pro WS last year.

My old PC is on 32 bit and the new PC on 64 b CO 6.3.2. Everything works fine and license activation is seamless. 😊
The W7 64b is MUCH faster and better in every way.

If you will get an IQ back, beware that USB 3 is not supported yet and it may be months (or years) before it is. And that Firewire 800 is a rare thing on a Windows PC! ❗️

    Kind Regards,

    Jon

    Hi,
I'm still on XP 32bit 4GB RAM with the latest C1 version in 32bit working on 25MP Sony A850 files without problems. Obviously no speed daemon but no real limitations either.

Capture One 3 can handle up to 39mp files (P45+) with some limitation when it comes to upscaling.
There is no physical way for Capture One 3 to cope with a 80mp file from a IQ180.

If on Windows then choose Windows 7 64bit and use the 64bit version of Capture One 6.

Thank you. I will make the move up to Win7/64bit and will begin using the180 very soon. Can't wait.
